GAME Plan Postponed

Well, if things hadn't been tough enough for me, they are now. School is out for the year and I didn't receive any of my instructional materials. The only materials I have are the student books. I'm sure that if I went through the books thoroughly I could begin to create some of my assessments. I'm leary of doing this only because I do not know what materials and supplies I will be receiving later this summer or this fall. I really had hoped to have all of my materials so that I could peruse them and get started. Looks like I'm going to be forced to take a vacation.

  1. Hi Heather...this sounds like our education system at it's finest! The stuff will turn up two days before school with no time to look them over but somehow you will pull it off! The life of a school teacher. Guess now you really can take a break! Shayne

  2. Heather,
I feel your pain. Last year we were told in July that we were getting new books. All we had was 3 copies of the trial student books to review from until mid-September! It is very frustrating to try to plan when you have no resources. I am partially in your boat this year too because due to budgeting issues and our counselor being on maternity leave, I have no clue what I am even teaching next year. I know it will be math but we offer 5 levels of math over 2 grades at my school, and I do not know which ones I will be assigned!

I agree though, now is the time to take a break, relax, and maybe in July try to get a head start on next year.

    Good luck!!
